Beth is currently Vice President of Clinical Operations at Health Management Systems of America, overseeing the various Employee Assistance Program and Gambling Program for various employer groups and the state of Michigan, respectively. She has a wealth of experiences having been in the behavioral health field for 30 years. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including out patient clinics, inpatient psychiatric centers, child welfare organizations, managed care and academic institutions. Trained as a clinician, she has operated within an administrative capacity for the last several years. She has managed large organizations and successfully designed programs to meet the needs of a diverse client group, including designing programs for substance abusing adolescents and traumatized young women. She has led many organizations through their accreditation processes and is a leader in organizational compliance with program standards. She has also worked in managed care settings where she functioned as the Clinical Director for large commercial health plans. She has worked in the Employee Assistance Program arena and was Clinical Director for the State of Michigan’s Employee Services Program.

Beth is also on staff as a faculty member at the University of Phoenix, Detroit Metro Campus, where she provides instruction in the graduate mental health counseling program, and undergraduate human services program. She is Lead Faculty Area Chair for the Graduate Counseling Program. She was named as Faculty of the Year, in 2009 and in 2011. She is a graduate of Oakland University, receiving her Master’s Degree in Counseling. Beth has published training materials and presented at state-wide training institutions to assist clinicians in gaining certifications in clinical supervision.
