Dr. Napier is currently employed with the University of Phoenix as the Campus College Chair for the College of Social Sciences. She retired from the State of Michigan in 2010 – having worked as a case manager and Program Manager in Children’s Welfare. Dr. Napier is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. She is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor. She is currently a member of the American Counseling Association, National Board of Certified Counselors, and Association of Counselor Educator Supervisors.

Dr. Napier retired from the State of Michigan after working as a case manager and program manager in the child welfare system. She has also worked on Governor Granholm’s committee developing suicide protocol and prevention strategies for Macomb County. As the CEO of HELP Family Life Center, she provided individual and family counseling; developed and facilitated workshops that address bullying, pre-marital assessments, marriage enhancement, and parenting; as well as working contractually with at-risk children under the No Child Left Behind initiative.
